As a member of South Farms Track Club, athletes will learn the fundamentals of Track & Field and Cross Country, while developing their understanding of “healthy living” and  fostering a love of the outdoors. Together, Track & Field and Cross Country is the most participated sport in America amongst high school student-athletes. Through these sports, athletes will increase their speed, strength, and agility, while also learning to embrace and overcome challenges. 

All registered athletes of the South Farms Track Club will receive discounts to a variety of road races directed by JB Sports and be eligible for USATF team competitions.

Chris Stonier has been the head coach of the Cross Country and Track & Field programs at Xavier High School since the fall of 2011. His journey began in 2007 when he created Branford's youth running program, and he has since led his Xavier athletes to nine state championships and one New England championship. In 2017, the team qualified for and competed at the Nike Cross Country National Championships in Portland, Oregon. 

Mission: Our mission is to develop, inspire, and educate athletes to enjoy the outdoors and lead an active and healthy lifestyle. Our intention is to influence the next generation of athletes to understand the benefits and power of becoming a life-long runner. 
 
Practice Schedule:
 
Spring 2023 (May 8th - June 18th)
 
Monday (5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 6/12), 5:30 - 6:45pm
Tuesday (5/30, 6/6), 5:30 - 6:45pm
 
Practice locations will vary from week to week.  Details will be communicated through a weekly email.  South Farms TC registration fee covers meet entry costs for the CT Middle School Track & Field State Championships held at Manchester High School on Saturday, May 27th.
