February 27: Learn about the art movement, Impressionism, by focusing on its key elements: using bright colors and loose brush strokes, depicting everyday life. Instead of making a picture look exactly real, Impressionism captures how something feels. There are no mistakes in Impressionism, it's all about your "Impression," this art form, truly lives up to the expression, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!"
We'll be working with acrylics so if possible bring an apron or long shirt you won't mind getting paint on.
Coffee, soda, cookies, and cupcakes will be served.

May 8 - YOUR FAVORITE THINGS -Mixed Media Collage Mixed media art combines different materials and techniques to create a single artwork. It can incorporate various paints, markers, colored pencils, found objects, buttons, fabric, textures, printed words; like favorite poems, or quotes, pictures, any object that speaks to you, or represent your statement, all assembled in a collage. This approach allows the artist in you, to explore and express YOUR FAVORITE THINGS. Join us to create a special keepsake! We'll provide the canvas and paints, makers, colored pencils, and some of our favorite things, but remember this is all about a piece of art the has meaning to you, so please bring some of YOUR FAVORITE THINGS. Art can be messy, wear something you won't be too sad to see get paint on. This is going to be so FUN!
