If your daughter is looking to try a winter sport, and basketball draws her interest, the Prof Gallitto Girls (PGG) Basketball League will be a great choice. The organization is sponsored by the City of Middletown’s Recreation & Community Services Department, which supports its mission and provides essential funding to assist with operations. The program offers all girls from elementary school age to middle school, living in the Middletown community, an opportunity to participate in an enriching and rewarding sports program. The league fosters and encourages team collaboration, promotes discipline through drills and skills development, and builds confidence through sportsmanship and competitive games. PGG’s goal is to have as many girls as possible competing in the league, and give them the best opportunity to grow as basketball players and responsible young adults.
