Inclement Weather Programming Policy


INCLEMENT WEATHER  PROGRAMMING POLICY


We will post on Facebook page ~ MiddletownCTRec, our middletownct.myrec.com website and local news stations with hours of operations.

When in doubt call the recreation division @ 860.638.4500 or email us @ rec@middletownct.gov.

When Middletown Public Schools have a delayed opening or are cancelled...
Programs that start prior to 8:30am will be cancelled. 

Other than that, The Rec Center Staff will determine hours of operation if we open. This information will be posted on our Facebook page ~ MiddletownCTRec.
 
Instructors may cancel their classes, even if the building is open. They will contact you via email or text if that is the case. 

In case of inclement weather cancellations, Recreation doesn’t make up the missed classes.
However, if a class with an instructor is available to teach a makeup class and space is available, we will make every effort on instructor based classes.
