Refund, Cancelled Class and Returned Checks Policies

Refund Policy

All requests for refunds, must be done via an email to rec@middletownct.gov.
Cancellation requests must be made by 4:30 pm,two (2) business days before the program begins.
Refunds not given once a program has begun, however, in the event of injury or illness, a refund request will be considered if accompanied by a doctor’s note.
No refunds will be given for any unused portion of a program or activity.
Summer Camp refunds, Debit and Credit refunds are issued back to the original card, minus a $25 bank processing fee.
Cash or check refunds are issued with a check, through Finance, minus a $25 bank processing fee.
If you cancel a program, and wish to have an account credit, we will credit the full amount to your account.

Cancelled Class Policy

In case of inclement weather cancellations, Recreation doesn’t make up the missed classes. However, if a class with an instructor is available to teach a makeup class and space is available, we will make every effort on instructor based classes.
