Resident/Nonresident


Resident and nonresident taxpayers will be given priority in registering for Middletown Recreation programs. Nonresident taxpayers are defined as individuals owning real estate in the City of Middletown in accordance with 214-40 B (2) of the Middletown Code of Ordinance.

WHAT IS RESIDENCY?
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED A MIDDLETOWN RESIDENT, YOU MUST PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION YOU LIVE HERE OR PAY TAXES HERE, SUCH AS:
Driver’s license, lease agreement, or tax documentation. Every adult in the household must be able to provide evidence of residency.

WHAT IS A HOUSEHOLD?
A household includes each person who LIVES at a particular address.
It does NOT include relatives such as grandparents, aunt/uncles, cousins or caregivers.
