Cardio Barre - Spring Session 2 Carido Barre with Rob Cardio Barre is an upbeat, high energy barre class that combines traditional, lightweight barre exercises with non-stop, fat burning, metabolic movements. Think tiny, pulsing lunges to tone and strengthen the muscles in the legs, thighs and glutes paired with flowy and stretchy calisthenics. The class will be set to upliting, high energy pop and house beats! About the Instructor Rob Arpin has been a fitness instructor in central CT for nearly a decade. He is certified in Barre, Insanity and Trampoline formats and is also a 200 hour certified yoga instructor. Rob believes that all exercise are best done together and in flow. He looks at each class as an opportunity for participants to get closer to the highest and best version of themselves. By day, Rob serves as a kindergarten teacher for the Middletown Public Schools where he seamlessly integrates, yoga, mindfulness and movement into classroom activities. He is extremely passionate about his music and sets his workouts to uplifting beats that energize and motivate participants. He loves to laugh and brings contagious energy to every class.

Cardio Barre - Spring Session 2 Carido Barre with Rob Cardio Barre is an upbeat, high energy barre class that combines traditional, lightweight barre exercises with non-stop, fat burning, metabolic movements. Think tiny, pulsing lunges to tone and strengthen the muscles in the legs, thighs and glutes paired with flowy and stretchy calisthenics. The class will be set to upliting, high energy pop and house beats! About the Instructor Rob Arpin has been a fitness instructor in central CT for nearly a decade. He is certified in Barre, Insanity and Trampoline formats and is also a 200 hour certified yoga instructor. Rob believes that all exercise are best done together and in flow. He looks at each class as an opportunity for participants to get closer to the highest and best version of themselves. By day, Rob serves as a kindergarten teacher for the Middletown Public Schools where he seamlessly integrates, yoga, mindfulness and movement into classroom activities. He is extremely passionate about his music and sets his workouts to uplifting beats that energize and motivate participants. He loves to laugh and brings contagious energy to every class.

He will also talk about what it was like to work at O'Rourke's Irish Diner, a staple in downtown Middletown for over 80 years. Cardio Barre - Spring Session 2 Carido Barre with Rob Cardio Barre is an upbeat, high energy barre class that combines traditional, lightweight barre exercises with non-stop, fat burning, metabolic movements. Think tiny, pulsing lunges to tone and strengthen the muscles in the legs, thighs and glutes paired with flowy and stretchy calisthenics. The class will be set to upliting, high energy pop and house beats! About the Instructor Rob Arpin has been a fitness instructor in central CT for nearly a decade. He is certified in Barre, Insanity and Trampoline formats and is also a 200 hour certified yoga instructor. Rob believes that all exercise are best done together and in flow. He looks at each class as an opportunity for participants to get closer to the highest and best version of themselves. By day, Rob serves as a kindergarten teacher for the Middletown Public Schools where he seamlessly integrates, yoga, mindfulness and movement into classroom activities. He is extremely passionate about his music and sets his workouts to uplifting beats that energize and motivate participants. He loves to laugh and brings contagious energy to every class.

Masters Swimming - Masters Swimming Spring 2 Swimming workouts for Masters Swimmers (18+). All sessions are coached by a US Masters Certified Coach. All swim levels welcome.Coach: Rob DuguayBio:Rob Duguay is a USMS Level 3 Certified Coach based out of Farmington,CT.Rob has served as the head coach for the Waterbury YMCA workout group for Connecticut Masters from 2016-2021He has completed 3 Ironman Triathlons (New Zealand in 2008, 2009, Louisville 2011) and holds 30 USMS Individual top 10s over a 16-year career in Masters Swimming.Rob Competed in the 200m, 400m, and 800m Freestyle in the 2019 FINA Masters World Championships and was the National Champion in the Men's 35-39 Age Group in the 1500m Freestyle at the 2021 USMS LCM Nationals. Rob also serves as the head coach for the Cheshire High School Boys' Swim Team, and Mercy High School Girls' Swim Team and has been a High School Official since 2014. Let's Bake with Brian O'Rourke - Let's bake with Brian O'Rourke Join Brian O’Rourke for some fresh coffee or tea and of course conversation, at The Middletown Recreation Center. Brian will share stories of local history and what it was like growing up and living in the North End of Middletown. He will also talk about what it was like to work at O'Rourke's Irish Diner, a staple in downtown Middletown for over 80 years. Guests will learn a new recipe from Brian and he will share his baking knowledge and passion for cooking. Guests will also get to take home an original O'Rourke's inspired baked good.
