Yoga with Karen - Spring Session 2 - Yoga with Karen Karen Sevenoff is a life-long student of yoga and meditation. Her practice and teaching of these simple, ancient yogic practices aim to ground us in our own divinity, lift us, and heal us. The practice is made of gentle, slow, and controlled movements linked simply and easefully to our natural breath. Practice finishes with a nourishing, guided relaxation. This sort of practice supports embodiment--resting deeply in the body and being at ease, in our natural state. Students should dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat. Karen Sevenoff is a student of Mark Whitwell & Gary Kraftsow and received her Yoga Certification at the Integral Yoga Ashram in Yogaville, VA. Karen Has been offering classes and workshops in CT for over 20 years.

On-water classes are open to people ages 13-99 during the summer sessions. 13-yr olds must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to row. All rowers must sign off that they are a strong swimmer. Experienced classes are offered from May through mid-October. All programs will include some ergometer (rowing machine) work which is especially important to help proper form. Rowers will sporadically rotate in the motorboat as an observer. We often row in light rain, but will erg or try to reschedule when there are high winds, downpour or lightning. Rescheduling could include an alternative evening or a weekend morning. Wear tight-fitting shorts or leggings (loose clothing can get caught in seat tracks), socks, sneakers or secure water shoes. A hat, sunscreen, sunglasses are recommended along with a reusable water bottle. Bring, or have in your car, a yoga mat and sneakers for after-row stretching or days when we erg.*If you are unsure which is the best class for your skill level, please contact Central CT Rowing and we will help you. Rowing - ON water classes - Early Summer Session - Novice - Sat AM The Middletown Recreation department is proud to offer a variety of rowing and fitness classes in collaboration with Central Connecticut Rowing. Classes are offered virtually or at Harbor Park in Middletown. To learn more about Central Connecticut Rowing, view their Facebook or Website, listed below with their Facebook bio.ALL Rowing classes meet at the Middletown Boathouse, 36 Harbor Drive.
Central Connecticut Rowing | Facebook Central Rowing Website"We are a non profit sweep rowing club based in Middletown, CT. We offer rowing programs on the CT River. Programs are administered through Middletown Recreation. Programs for 13+, novice to experienced, recreational to competitive. Come join us!"GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL ON-WATER CLASSES: Novice rowing classes are generally only offered in the summer months (June/July and sometimes August). On-water classes are open to people ages 13-99 during the summer sessions. 13-yr olds must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to row. All rowers must sign off that they are a strong swimmer. It’s crucial to not miss the first few classes because safety and basics are covered. Fall sessions are open to 18+. (Younger rowers would need special permission.) Experienced classes are offered from May through mid-October.
